I have a PhD in Consumer, Apparel, Retail Studies as well as 25 years of experience in Fashion Design, Costume Design, Patternmaking, Draping, Styling, and Construction.
I have been a Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher in Apparel & Interior Design for the past 10 years and I love being able to guide students in their creative experiences. I also really love to create beautiful clothing inspired by the colors of nature. I am interested in and have done extensive research on American Indian ceremonial dress and its relationship to identity among American Indian powwow dancers.
